The Sound Transit Board of Directors voted unanimously June 23 to hire Julie Timm as the new Sound Transit CEO. Timm most recently served as the CEO of Greater Richmond Transit Company in Richmond, Virginia.
Throughout the Sound Transit CEO selection process, the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce has advocated for a leader who will drive agency culture, be an exceptional partner, embrace challenges and complexity, and deliver results. We want to thank Interim CEO Brooke Belman for her leadership and we look forward to working with Timm as she takes on the CEO position in late summer. You can find more background information on Timm in Seattle Times coverage here.
