Here at the Seattle Metro Chamber, we have to 2,500 companies across the region and 13 different business sectors, from your favorite neighborhood restaurant to brands known around the world. We have started our new member feature program based on referrals. Please help us welcome PridePays as our next member feature and tell us who we should feature next!
PridePays gives business owners a no-cost way to invest in their community and support LGBTQ+ people. Businesses keep the exact same rates and services they already have with their current merchant services company, but with PridePays, every month the profits are donated to a cause the business chooses to support. Many businesses don’t know how to do more than just fly a flag for PRIDE Month. We provide an opportunity to be an ally rather than just rainbow-washing.
To what do you attribute your business’ success?
We believe our success comes from the creative way we help businesses invest in their community at no cost to them. Our team has expertise in providing merchant services, and we developed a way to turn that unavoidable cost of doing business into an opportunity to give back. It is extremely rewarding to see how nonprofit organizations are spreading the word, and how businesses are answering their calls for support. Because the organizations that benefit from the program spread the word within their communities our marketing costs are very low freeing up even more money to give back.
How is your business active in your community?
As a social enterprise, we are all about giving back to the community. We work directly with over 1,000 LGBTQ+ causes serving people across the country. We help these organizations engage and partner with local businesses in a win-win relationship where the cause gains needed ongoing funding while the business builds goodwill, gains loyal customers and gives back to its community at no cost.
Are there partnerships your company is currently looking for?
PridePays is currently looking for partnerships with larger regional businesses that are interested in stepping forward by giving back at no cost through our program. Your participation can have a significant impact on LGBTQ+ people in our region through the influence your example has on other business owners who follow your leadership and join our mission.
