The health care sector is one of the fastest growing in Alaska, and one of the most dynamic. Between 2000 and 2010, healthcare employment increased 46 percent, about five times as fast as the state's population and three times as fast as all other sectors of the economy.

Now, with recent cuts to the Alaska State budget, the healthcare industry could be affected, specifically the University of Washington School of Medicine's WWAMI program that provides medical students and doctors to areas throughout Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho.

Join us to get an update on the healthcare industry in Alaska, learn how these states are partnering together on WWAMI, and hear how the health care industry impacts patients, the business community, and our economy.
