According to the State of Alaska, its seafood industry is the largest private-sector employer in the state, and has created over 64,000 jobs. In 2017 alone, over 6.4 billion pounds of seafood was harvested, valuing at over $1.8 billion. Of the 6.4 billion pounds caught in Alaska, over 3.9 billion pounds were taken by Washington residents – a value of $873 million.

With such a booming industry behind them, how are seafood business leaders marketing their products, keeping up with demand, and increasing the economy for our regions?

Join us for the first Alaska Business Forum of the new season as we hear from our panelists on the current state of the seafood industry, the opportunities and challenges they face, and how they are creating a sustainable marketplace for the future.
