“It’s hard to pick just one thing, but I’d have to say that what I love the most about working for the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce is that our organization’s core values come to life in every part of our work. As an African American woman, it has not been easy for me to find a place to work that lives its values internally and externally— and their approach to policy work as well. In fact, I considered leaving my field because I was so tired of the structural racism, I faced for years. I took a chance on the Chamber, and I am so grateful I did—it has been a such a gift to work for an organization that talks the talk AND walks the walk.
