What is the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber Of Commerce?

The Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce is the largest and most diverse business association in the region. Founded in 1882 by local business leaders, the Chamber today is an independent organization representing 2,600 companies and a regional workforce of approximately 750,000.

Are you affiliated with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce?

The Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce is an independent organization. We have no affiliation with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. If you would like to reach them or have concerns about a U.S. Chamber action, please contact them directly at (202) 659-6000.

Are small businesses involved in the Seattle Metro Chamber?

Nearly 80 percent of our 2,600 members are small businesses with less than 100 employees. One-third of Chamber members are micro-enterprises with less than 10 employees. They join the Chamber because we are a single source for access to all the tools needed to grow their business, from high quality networking to professional development to employee benefits like health care. What type of events does the Seattle Metro Chamber offer?

The Seattle Metropolitan Chamber holds more than 300 programs per year. Offerings include networking events, professional development workshops and seminars, policy forums, and annual membership events. Visit our events calendar.

Do I need to be a member to attend Seattle Metro Chamber functions?

Seattle Metropolitan Chamber programs are a benefit of membership and are intended for employees of member companies only; however, a few annual events are open to the public. Additionally, we welcome prospective members to attend one of our programs to learn more about us. Learn more about Chamber membership.

Does the Seattle Metro Chamber offer health care and other employee benefits to member companies?

Through the Chamber, you can save between 10 and 30 percent on premiums for employee benefits including medical, dental, and vision. Learn more about our benefits.

What if I have a concern about a governmental decision that affects my ability to grow my business?

How do I make changes to my company's listing in the membership directory?

The main Chamber contact for your company can change your directory listing by logging into the Member Dashboard. If you don’t know your login or main company contact, simply email the Membership Department or call us at (206) 389-7210 for assistance.

How does my company join the Seattle Metro Chamber?

We take a customized approach to your membership. To start the join process, fill out our online membership form, email us, or call us at (206) 389-7210. Membership is open to any business or organization with an interest in the economic health of the Seattle metro area.

Does my business need to be located in the city of Seattle to join the Seattle Metro Chamber?

Not at all! Forty percent of our members are located outside the city of Seattle. Geographically, our reach extends throughout the four-county Puget Sound region.

Are dues tax deductible?

Ninety percent of annual membership dues are tax deductible as a necessary and ordinary business expense.
